Since 1976, Hiatus House has been committed to ending violence against women and their children in Windsor-Essex, providing safe environments for women and their families to heal and strengthen, in support of them living lives free of abuse. Hiatus House is seeking volunteers living and working in Windsor-Essex to join our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors provides governance oversight in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Board Members must commit to 9 meetings a year and participation in other activities that arise on occasion. 

We value the unique skills and experience of each individual and we are committed to provide and create opportunities for historically marginalized groups. We seek applicants who will strengthen our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. To fill our Board Skills Matrix we are seeking expertise in the areas of finance and human resources.
